All of the dev-lang/python ebuilds in the official portage tree don't have epatch_user.

a patch that we would use epatch_user for or a patch to add it?

Just patch adding epatch_user to those versions. So we could apply and go straight for committing it.

Patch

It took me 4 minutes to fix the ebuilds. If a developer did it, fixing and commiting would take 9 minutes max. But it took more than 9 hours.

Great. We forgot that we are paid for fulfilling user requests. And we gain a lot of karma too, so we obviously can't be ill.
