"Aegisub 3.0.0 features a major rewrite of much of Aegisub's core. There are two main user-visible changes:
    The audio display and related things such as the karaoke syllable splitting interface have been rewritten from scratch. The spectograph rendering is now much higher quality and faster, and many new features have been added.
    Changes made in the main edit box and surrounding controls no longer have to be committed. Instead, changes are made to the file as you type, with the video display updating in real time."

Patch from 2.1.9 to 3.0.2 ebuild

Small patch I wrote to emerge aegisub-3.0.2 locally. From what I can see, it works flawlessly for these installed deps on ~amd64:
=x11-libs/wxGTK-2.9.4.1
=media-libs/ffmpegsource-2.17.3_pre743
=media-video/ffmpeg-1.0.6

Ok thanks. This bug is opened for a while so it looks like Nikoli is not interested anymore. So we might want to find a new maintainer here.

The ebuild does not work.

It looks really weird that we try to fetch the source code from this package from an overlay. I am not sure what is going on here...

I am interested, bug was not fixed because unmasking wxgtk-2.9 took a lot time for unknown reasons. I will attach ebuild here soon.

upstream migrated from svn to git, aegisub-2.1.9999.ebuild should be replaced with aegisub-9999.ebuild

multimedia overlay is updated.

Why keep live ebuild in both places? I suggest to remove the one in portage tree.

Like I said I don't think maintain the same ebuild in multiple repositories is a smart option.

aaegisub ebuilds in portage tree are fine now, removed from overlay.
