Latest upstream snapshot build fine, but while loading otr module in irssi - irssi segfaults. Need to investigate... It seems like there has been progress since irssi-otr 0.3 Might want to consider an ebuild version bump? https://github.com/cryptodotis/irssi-otr/blob/master/ChangeLog any progress here? net-libs/libotr-4.0.0 is still hardmasked for no good reason, except that apps are unable to catch up would a snapshot solve this? (In reply to Julian Ospald (hasufell) from comment #3) > would a snapshot solve this? Sergey said that irssi segfaulted when trying to load the module from git at the time. No idea if this is still the case. I've restricted the dependency to <net-libs/libotr-4. https://github.com/cryptodotis/irssi-otr/releases/tag/v1.0.0 has been released. does it work with this version? I haven't heard from the proxy-maintainer for years and I do not have any clue nor interest in this package, so i'm dropping it into the net-irc herd. Uploaded irssi-otr 1.0.0 ebuild to https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=518958... that should do it. I don't know how to link these two bug reports, so I'll leave that to someone who knows what they're doing :-P Please note that https://github.com/cryptodotis/irssi-otr contains the following warning: ''Please use the git head master branch of libotr which contains a critical fix for irssi-otr to work. (Fix commit: d748757e581b74e7298df155ad49174cb914102b)'' (In reply to Vincent Brillault from comment #9) > Please note that https://github.com/cryptodotis/irssi-otr contains the > following warning: ''Please use the git head master branch of libotr which > contains a critical fix for irssi-otr to work. (Fix commit: > d748757e581b74e7298df155ad49174cb914102b)'' This commit is present in libotr-4.1.0. irssi-otr-1.0.0 is now in tree, it builds and works fine with >=libotr-4.1.0. |
