I have the same error me too confirmed, (In reply to comment #3) > confirmed, Setting USE="-multilib" on media-libs/glu solved it for me. (In reply to comment #4) > Setting USE="-multilib" on media-libs/glu solved it for me. NB: To be able to do that, you have to put the line =media-libs/glu-9.0.0 multilib in /etc/portage/profile/package.use.mask (In reply to comment #5) > (In reply to comment #4) > > Setting USE="-multilib" on media-libs/glu solved it for me. > > NB: To be able to do that, you have to put the line > > =media-libs/glu-9.0.0 multilib > > in /etc/portage/profile/package.use.mask solution confirmed, although it seems a rather complex bypass to me (have never used this particular method before). Created attachment 324374 [details]
Bluey's output
The multilib flag is now properly masked in the profiles (bug 435622), so it is no longer necessary to add an entry to /etc/portage/package.use.mask. (In reply to comment #8) > The multilib flag is now properly masked in the profiles (bug 435622), so it > is no longer necessary to add an entry to /etc/portage/package.use.mask. I was trying to add my comemnt for my attachement, comment 7, whilst you were posting this. So do I just now need to do another "emerge --sync" and things should be good - maybe in a couple of hours time when things have replicated around to the mirrors? Andrew Some hours later, 'emerge -uvDN world' wants now to emerge media-libs/glu-9999. But there is still a conflict between mesa-9.0 and glu-9999: root@leopard:/root(17)# emerge -vuND world * IMPORTANT: 1 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'. * Use eselect news to read news items. But there is still a conflict between mesa-9.0 and > glu-9999: In your case it's just the glu-version out of the x11 overlay. In the standard tree synced at 13:00 it works out fine without any masking/keywording. Thanks drhopfen, masking >=media-libs/glu-9999 solved the issue for me. Marking fixed. |
