Can you please describe your setup? Which jack do you replug? Do you use usb speakers (soundcard in the speaker) or do you re-plug an headphone jack on passive speakers? Can you please provide the usb id and brand name (lsusb from sys-apps/usbutils) if any usb involved? hello I re-plug passive speakers jack. USB speakers not involved. So I guess the modules are loaded but the sound output isn't automatically switched on? Does it help to run alsamixer and manually enable/unmute headphone output? Does it help to run alsamixer and manually enable/unmute > headphone output? you're right with headphone output. By default, it was unmuted. when mutting, front and master was muted too. Unmutting all doesn't switch the sound on; I've had to adjust all to get the sound on. I'll try to reboot to tell if it still work or not. So it would appear to be a matter of local configuration. |
