Well, it might be related to switching to dbus, but: - a restart of your session (which should restart dbus) should be enough to deal with the problem - most (if not all) of the info firefox can get from gconf is likely out of date, as of >=gnome-3.0 After reboot firefox does not complain about dbus-gconf. But on the other side the system was locked just after starting of firefox for two or three minutes, I could not even move the mouse cursor, (maybe a network problem). After this few minutes there are so far no more problems. Thanks for reporting and testing. The gconf-3.2.3-r1 ebuild now prints a warning message asking users to restart their desktop session if upgrading from an older gconf version.
