Is there a particular reason you are sticking to 4.2? You should used the 4.4 versions, as they are more "advanced", and definitely most stable. In fact, I was planning to pull 4.3 completely, after I stabilize the 4.3 and 4.4 versions. No reply in a while. Closing this as obsolete. the reason is in "blocks" section. Asis-gcc pulles this version. (In reply to comment #3) > the reason is in "blocks" section. > > Asis-gcc pulles this version. Well, the dependency then should be the other way around, if it was desired that the closure of this bug would be prevented. Although, this dependency follows the portage one and is more logical. Anyway, the whole point is moot, as <=gnat-gcc-4.2 is planned for removal. There seems to (finally) be a source available for asis based on gcc >=4.3. Therefore I'll go about adding new asis and, afterwards, removing old gnat and asis. I'll keep this bug open for now, as you seem to like it that way, + as a reminder (to myself. I am in the moddle of paper/grant writing + some position applications, - I cannot strictly plan when I get this done. Sorry about that). All are heavily broken asis-gcc is being removed as part of bug #593398. removed |
