One problem with that is that a re-emerge or upgrade will reset that once you've made the file(s) executable, so we'd have to check for that too. Maybe we shouldn't install them at all? Also note that sa2(8) suggests putting this in a crontab: 5 19 * * 1-5 /usr/lib64/sa/sa2 -A & which suggests to me that despite appearances, the utility is not intended to generate a 24 hour report, but simply a report summarising the day until that moment (5 minutes past 7 PM implies a work day).
