Most likely a case of too many overlays, well, unless it's a minor ebuild bug. This should have been a hint: Package blas was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `blas.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'blas' found Package blas was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `blas.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'blas', required by 'lapack', not found See what provides virtual/lapack, if it's not one of the things from portage tree, bug overlay owner, if it is, check if it really doesn't provide pkgconfig file - if it doesn't, the bug lies in the ebuild. Correction, I meant virtual/blas. >>eix virtual/blas [I] virtual/blas Available versions: 1.0 (~)2.0[1] {doc} Installed versions: 2.0[1](17:29:13 24.08.2011)(-doc) Description: Virtual for FORTRAN 77 BLAS implementation [1] "science" /usr/local/portage/layman/science >>eix virtual/lapack [I] virtual/lapack Available versions: 3.0 3.1 (~)3.3[1] {doc} Installed versions: 3.3[1](00:22:21 25.08.2011)(-doc) Description: Virtual for Linear Algebra Package FORTRAN 77 (LAPACK) implementation [1] "science" /usr/local/portage/layman/science Do you suggest remove science overlay ? No, as I already said, I suggest that you check which package exactly provides virtual/blas and if it's one out of portage tree. We'll go from there. virtual/blas installed from overlay science as posted above  To re-repeat myself: virtual/blas is just that - virtual. You need to see which real package provides it. Only you can do it, as per design, a virtual is resolved by any of packages it lists. shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory That's a weird error. src_prepare() fails because of this. I cannot reproduce the src_prepare() errors with regular sys-apps/portage, so I guess this is a Funtoo problem. Please report this there. (In reply to comment #9) > shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent > directories: No such file or directory > > I cannot reproduce the src_prepare() errors with regular sys-apps/portage, so I > guess this is a Funtoo problem. Please report this there. Actually, that part is quite easy to reproduce: - run mc - cd <a dir> - press Ctrl-O for subshell - from a different terminal remove the previously changed to dir - in the subshel run emerge As the current dir no longer exists, you'll get series of that error. (In reply to comment #10) yes, it's easy to reproduce, but that reproduction does not indicate a bug on Gentoo's side. bash has always operated that way. |
