Description Lorinc Czegledi 2003-12-23 09:18:03 UTC
We are all looking for our best linux distro giving us the smallest + fastest + universal + connected + interlinked + easy to use environment to use on as many devices as possible.

I would like to suggest to create an Embedded Gentoo Linux for Handleld Devices, providing a meta-level framework for PDAs and other small-memory and energy-dependent devices.

This could speed up the optimisation, and ease-of-use-desktopimisation of all our gui tools as well.

Here are some links I found for reference to libraries.

gentoo pda herd is only for applications that sync with or communicate with pda type devices. you might want to try gentoo-embedded@lists.gentoo.org for some interested people. or #gentoo-embedded on irc.freenode.net.

they are doing exactly what you are proposing
