If I add radeon to /etc/make.conf nothing changes: root@thinkpad:/root(35)# grep radeon /etc/make.conf radeon video_cards_radeon # video_cards_radeon #VIDEO_CARDS="radeon vesa fglrx" #VIDEO_CARDS="radeon vesa displaylink" root@thinkpad:/root(36)# grep "^VID" /etc/make.conf VIDEO_CARDS="ati vesa displaylink" root@thinkpad:/root(37)# emerge -pvuDN world These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! emerge: there are no ebuilds built with USE flags to satisfy "x11-libs/libdrm[video_cards_radeon]". !!! One of the following packages is required to complete your request: - x11-libs/libdrm-2.4.24 (Change USE: +video_cards_radeon) (dependency required by "x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati-6.14.1" [installed]) (dependency required by "@selected" [set]) (dependency required by "@world" [argument]) root@thinkpad:/root(38)# emerge -pvD x11-libs/libdrm These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild R ] x11-libs/libdrm-2.4.24 USE="libkms -static-libs" VIDEO_CARDS="-intel -nouveau -radeon -vmware" 0 kB Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB You need to add 'VIDEO_CARDS="radeon"' to /etc/make.conf (or add radeon to the existant VIDEO_CARDS setting) VIDEO_CARDS (and some others) are automatically expanded to the respective useflags. I.e. the above would get video_cards_radeon. Looks like the best I can make of this report is that ufed does not support USE_EXPAND. This is discussed in bug 205359 already. And it is planned as an enhancement to ufed, which means it is on my todo list. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 205359 *** |
