I've noticed that this "CONTENTS" file is different from the other ones: there are no "dir" or "obj" tags at the beginning of the line. Maybe this is the matter: how do I solve it?

patch for portage-

Save as /tmp/portage- and apply as follows:

  cd /usr/lib/portage
  patch -p1 < /tmp/portage-

This patch includes the following two commits:;a=commit;h=c66a8136b431ec42ea02e6378ed1f6981d7ef81a;a=commit;h=e988ead0427787a40f2e9b0c4827d67b876bbda4

This is fixed in and 2.2.0_alpha29.
