You probably need "gnome-panel" to be compiled with USE="bonobo" (will need to check all packages in the tree depending on gnome-panel) Please paste emerge --info and attach config.log This may be a bit off-topic but I noticed this in building gnome-power-manager today. If anyone is messing around with the ebuild they also need to add a dependency on SGMLSpm. Creating the man pages requires: docbook2man gnome-power-manager.sgml &> /dev/null which appears to not exist if the last perl update (to 5.12.2) didn't properly transfer installed perl packages to the new version. I think there may be a problem with detecting upgrades to perl or python which haven't had the installed packages incorporated into the new version (but portage/ebuilds still think the package is present and doesn't require a reinstall). The dep was fixed recently Yes, compiling gnome-panel with bonobo fixes this. Thanks! |
