The pcre use flag is no longer present in now stable php-5.3.3-r1. Therefore, portage reports: dev-lang/php:5 (dev-lang/php-5.3.3-r1, ebuild scheduled for merge) conflicts with dev-lang/php[pcre,pdo,postgres,xml] required by (www-apps/davical-0.9.9, installed) The patch is analogous to dev-php/awl, see this bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342597 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
