After successfully changing a S/MIME signing key I selected and clicked ok on changing a S/MIME encryption key and the following back-trace was generated.

Comment 3 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-15 09:07:43 UTC
errata - it crashed as the key selection for the encryption key was being displayed.
Comment 4 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-16 14:09:06 UTC
upon further testing the crash occurs whenever a S/MIME encryption key dialog is displayed - e.g. sending to a recipient and selecting the encrypt option on the email compose window.

How is kmail 4.4.6 doing? (whole kdepim-4.4.6 actually)

There was a problem with dirmngr that was crashing. I suspect the kmail crash was just poor handling of the dirmngr crash.

I've been using kmail 4.4.5 for a while and this seems to be ok. I have done a number of things with my gnupg configuration which has made the dirmngr crash and subsequently the kmail crash go away.

in short its not affecting me anymore, i'm unable to reproduce it but I suspect it isn't fixed yet. I'm happy to let this sleep until I or someone else can get more info.

OK, assuming this is fixed now. Please reopen otherwise...
