Description Dennis Schridde 2009-12-23 23:34:30 UTC
I've got a question regarding the aufs kernel patches (currently sys-fs/aufs2[kernel-patch]):
Couldn't they be included in sys-kernel/gentoo-sources, so they are always up to date and the kernel will always be in a well defined state (not drifting away from the version portage installed)?
If aufs is too unstable, or does not work for every arch sys-kernel/gentoo-sources supports, an "aufs" useflag could be added.

The kernel-patch useflag for sys-fs/aufs2 could maybe stay, in case the user uses other kernel packages, like hardened-sources and the like.

Reproducible: Always
