Because x264 incompability issues all of these need to go together, =media-video/transcode-1.1.5 (bug 297851) =media-video/avidemux-2.5.1_p5428 (bug 297850) =media-video/vlc-1.0.4 (bug 297849) =media-video/ffmpeg-0.5_p20373 (bug 297847) =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20091026-r1 (bug 297846) =media-libs/x264-0.0.20091021 (bug 297845) =media-video/x264-encoder-0.0.20091021 (bug 297845) amd64 stable We also need a newer media-libs/gst-plugins-x264. We should probably go for 0.10.13 (and that probably means stabilizing new version of the rest of gst. Calling back amd64 (In reply to comment #3) > We also need a newer media-libs/gst-plugins-x264. We should probably go for > 0.10.13 (and that probably means stabilizing new version of the rest of gst. > > Calling back amd64 > Nothing left for amd64@ here. The gst-plugins-x264 ebuilds have all false deps (bug 298408) as we have 3 different API's of x264 in tree. It was also masked, by me, in purpose, and was never supposed to be unmasked. So as a gstreamer@ maintainer, feel free to handle the stabilization in another bug, meanwhile this can't be blocking getting working MPlayer to stable. We need it. ppc64 done ppc done x86 stable Created attachment 215831 [details]

It was caused because of the recommendation on http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-gentoo.html to add the following line "media-video/vlc ~x86" to the file "/etc/portage/package.keywords" Because of this vlc was build against the old =media-libs/x264 a week ago and doesn't worked after upgrade today. Sorry for the false alarm, my comments can be deleted -;o] Stable on alpha. Skipped avidemux since it isn't keyworded on alpha. sparc stable, closing |
