Xorg.0.log
Here's my Xorg.0.log when using the radeonhd driver
If you have the darn fglrx module loaded such artifacts may happen. You have to rmmod it or even reboot to get the graphics card into a sane state. Also, radeon tends to work better than radeonhd, you may wish to use that. Please reopen if you can reproduce this without fglrx loaded etc. The fglrx module isn't loaded when this happens. Nevertheless I uninstalled ati-drivers and tried the radeonhd driver again and still a no-go. Just the same garbled screen. As this card is now unsupported by upstream and masked in Portage. The xorg-driver should also get updated to not include a flag for it... Closing then. |
