Stabilizing 2.6.31 is definitely in our plans. Right now we have a few regressions in 2.6.31 I'd like to see resolved. But we have not forgotten about making a 2.6.31 stable. Please consider stabilizing =sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.6.31-r6 and matching =sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.31.6. They fix bug 291904, which is present in all 2.6.31[<.6] kernels, see [1] for the upstream bug. This bug causes multiple race conditions in fs/pipe.c [1]http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2009-3547 Stable for HPPA. x86 stable For other arches. Have a look at http://www.faulhammer.org/archiv-mainmenu-31/35-gentoo/309-kernel-testing-request-2631 and see if your arch is mentioned in the comments. amd64/arm stable Marked ppc/ppc64 stable. alpha/ia64/sh/sparc stable, closing |
