Hello, this is not exactly Gentoo bug but more of upstream issue. So if you might point your eyes to upstream bugzilla [1], they might be able to help you. Also when you create bug there, add the link on it here so we can track it. Cheers [1] - https://bugs.kde.org/ Adding links for tracking: Bug 185881 - kio_thumbnail tries to create thumbnail of way to big files and eats up memory, cpu, swap https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185881 Bug 203628 - kio_thumbnail process eats all my memory https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203628 (In reply to comment #1) > Hello, > this is not exactly Gentoo bug but more of upstream issue. Look at KDE bug 203628 and note that virtually all of the reporters are using Gentoo on AMD64. IMO this requires further investigation before marking it resolved upstream. I'm using Gentoo AMD64, KDE 4.4.5 applications (yes, just applications, not the whole desktop) and the bug persists. Waht is the corresponding upstream Bug? Can you please proviede an URL. |
