*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 288312 *** The half of the problem is solved, after doing: "(for each user) $ update-mime-database ~/.local/share/mime/" "(as root) # update-mime-database /usr/local/share/mime/" I have my icons again, but I still can't start meld, I still get: root@condor:/usr/local/portage/app-pda/libopensync-plugin-python(533)# meld Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/meld", line 88, in <module> import meldapp File "/usr/lib64/meld/meldapp.py", line 43, in <module> import vcview File "/usr/lib64/meld/vcview.py", line 23, in <module> import tree File "/usr/lib64/meld/tree.py", line 31, in <module> pixbuf_folder = load("tree-folder-normal.png", 20) File "/usr/lib64/meld/tree.py", line 30, in <lambda> load = lambda x,s=14: gnomeglade.load_pixbuf(paths.icon_dir(x), s) File "/usr/lib64/meld/gnomeglade.py", line 125, in load_pixbuf image = image.get_pixbuf() ValueError: image should be a GdkPixbuf or empty I also did revdep-rebuild, it complains only about: * Checking dynamic linking consistency [ 4% ] [ 29% ] * broken /usr/kde/3.5/lib32/libqtmcop.so.1.0.0 (requires libqt-mt.so.3) [ 31% ] * broken /usr/lib32/directfb-0.9.25/interfaces/IDirectFBImageProvider/libidirectfbimageprovider_jpeg.so (requires libjpeg.so.62) [ 33% ] * broken /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-jpeg.so (requires libjpeg.so.62) * broken /usr/lib32/libImlib.so.1.9.15 (requires libjpeg.so.62) * broken /usr/lib32/libMrm.so.4.0.1 (requires libjpeg.so.62) * broken /usr/lib32/libUil.so.4.0.1 (requires libjpeg.so.62) * broken /usr/lib32/libXm.so.4.0.1 (requires libjpeg.so.62) * broken /usr/lib32/libimlib-jpeg.so (requires libjpeg.so.62) * broken /usr/lib32/libpulsecore.so.5.0.0 (requires libltdl.so.3) [ 34% ] * broken /usr/lib32/pulse-0.9/modules/module-ladspa-sink.so (requires libltdl.so.3) [ 37% ] * broken /usr/lib64/R/library/Rmpi/libs/Rmpi.so (requires libmpich.so.1.1) [ 86% ] * broken /usr/lib64/scilab-4.1.2/bin/libjavasci.so (requires libtcl8.4.so libtk8.4.so) * broken /usr/lib64/scilab-4.1.2/bin/scilex (requires libtcl8.4.so libtk8.4.so) * broken /usr/lib64/scilab-4.1.2/tcl/browsehelpexe (requires libtcl8.4.so libtk8.4.so) [ 100% ] I have to add, that I can start meld as ordinary user rose, but if I try to start it as root I get the described error. After doing: "(as user root) $ update-mime-database ~/.local/share/mime/" I could also run meld as root without error. Hi, Command : $ update-mime-database ~/.local/share/mime/ for all users solve this problem (png support broken) for me too. Thx, very nice suggestion ! (I've spent many time to solve it without success) (In reply to comment #5) > Hi, > > Command : > > $ update-mime-database ~/.local/share/mime/ > > for all users solve this problem (png support broken) for me too. > > Thx, very nice suggestion ! > (I've spent many time to solve it without success) > Please read the lastest entry of my blog: http://blogs.gentoo.org/mrpouet |
