I have the same bug emerge --info Portage 2.1.6.13 (default/linux/amd64/2008.0, gcc-4.4.1, glibc-2.10.1-r0, 2.6.31.2 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: Linux-2.6.31.2-x86_64-Intel-R-_Core-TM-2_Quad_CPU_Q6600_@_2.40GHz-with-gentoo-2.0.1 Timestamp of tree: Wed, 07 Oct 2009 11:00:01 +0000 app-shells/bash: 4.0_p33 dev-java/java-config: 2.1.9-r1 dev-lang/python: 2.6.3, 3.1.1-r1 dev-util/cmake: 2.6.4-r3 sys-apps/baselayout: 2.0.1 sys-apps/openrc: 0.4.3-r3 sys-apps/sandbox: 2.1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.63-r1 sys-devel/automake: 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10.2, 1.11 sys-devel/binutils: 2.19.1-r1 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.4.1 sys-devel/libtool: 2.2.6a virtual/os-headers: 2.6.30-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64 ~amd64" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -march=core2 -msse3 -msse2 -msse" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/ca-certificates.conf /etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/eselect/postgresql /etc/fonts/fonts.conf /etc/gconf /etc/gentoo-release /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/sandbox.d /etc/terminfo /etc/udev/rules.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="distlocks fixpackages parallel-fetch protect-owned sandbox sfperms strict unmerge-orphans userfetch" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.gentoo.org" LANG="fr_FR@euro" LC_ALL="fr_FR@euro" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1" LINGUAS="fr" MAKEOPTS="-j6" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT="/" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY=" " SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X a52 aac aalib acl additions alsa amd64 berkdb bittorrent bzip2 cairo cddb cli consolekit cracklib crypt cuda cups dbus dri dts dvb dvd dvdr dvdread embedded encode fat ffmpeg flac fortran gdbm geoip gif gnome gpm gtk hal httpd iconv imagemagick ipv6 isdnlog jpeg kde lame libnotify libv4l2 live lm_sensors logitech-mouse mad matroska melt mikmod mjpeg mmx mmxext mng modules mp3 mp4 mpeg mplayer msn mudflap multilib mysql ncurses nepomuk nfs nls nptl nptlonly nsplugin ntfs objc ogg openexr opengl openmp optimisememory pam pcre pdf perl plasma png policykit postgres pppd python qt3support qt4 readline reflection reiserfs rtsp scanner sdl semantic-desktop session smp spl sql sqlite sse sse2 ssl ssse3 stream subtitles svg sysfs tcpd theora threads thumbnail tiff truetype tv unicode usb v4l v4l2 vcd visualization vorbis webkit wma x264 xcb xcomposite xine xml xorg xscreensaver xulrunner xv xvid yahoo zlib" ALSA_CARDS="hda-intel" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mmap_emul mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" APACHE2_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_alias authn_anon authn_dbm authn_default authn_file authz_dbm authz_default authz_groupfile authz_host authz_owner authz_user autoindex cache dav dav_fs dav_lock deflate dir disk_cache env expires ext_filter file_cache filter headers include info log_config logio mem_cache mime mime_magic negotiation rewrite setenvif speling status unique_id userdir usertrack vhost_alias" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" LINGUAS="fr" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia" Unset: CPPFLAGS, CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, FFLAGS, INSTALL_MASK, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS I can reproduce this exact error as long as I launch oowriter from a shortcut in KDE or by double-clicking on a file. If I open oowriter from the command line, the icons do not disappear. This seems to be some sort of KDE integration problem caused by kde 4.3.1 going stable, as this did not start happening until I started using kde 4.3.1. (In reply to comment #2) > I can reproduce this exact error as long as I launch oowriter from a shortcut > in KDE or by double-clicking on a file. > > If I open oowriter from the command line, the icons do not disappear. > > This seems to be some sort of KDE integration problem caused by kde 4.3.1 going > stable, as this did not start happening until I started using kde 4.3.1. > This is not my case. I can *always* reproduce the error. I had the same issue (plus more, such as bug 242846). I'm using umask 077 (in case that's relevant) and I noticed that a lot of files in /usr/lib64/openoffice (and sub-directories) were readable only by root. The following commands solved my problems: find /usr/lib64/openoffice/ -type d -exec chmod 755 \{\} \; find /usr/lib64/openoffice/ -type f -exec chmod o+r \{\} \; I saw this behavior and determined it to be an interaction between kde4 and openoffice, as openoffice worked as expected when started from an xterm in X with nothing else running. After a little searching, I found a solution here: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=27199 Put the following line in in ~/.kde4/env/gtk-qt-engine.rc.sh: export SAL_GTK_USE_PIXMAPPAINT=1 Can someone else confirm that this fixes the bug? My machine is x86. Please try with app-office/libreoffice instead and provide feedback if this bug is still there for you. |
