(this would obsolete bug 275285) feel free ppc64 done @amd64 + @x86: magic word: "10.0" :) x86 stable * QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack a SONAME * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-atk-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-awt-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-cairo-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-gnome-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-mozilla-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-pi-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-xpcominit-gtk-3448.so * /var/tmp/portage/dev-java/swt-3.4-r4/image/usr/lib64/libswt-xulrunner-gtk-3448.so it's normal ? even if these shared object are java bindings, to load-up them at runtime, they need a soname.. imho... correct me if wrong of course. (In reply to comment #6) > > it's normal ? even if these shared object are java bindings, to load-up them at > runtime, they need a soname.. imho... correct me if wrong of course. > I don't think you need a SONAME if you are only using dlopen to load the libraries. At least swt has been working for ages without sonames. Should look into having a way to suppress the warnings in Portage.
