Another victim is mod_fcgid which apparently manages to start the new wrapper, but then dies with scary segfaults in dmesg: python[7308]: segfault at 0 ip 410a1544 sp bfbf11b8 error 4 in libc-2.10.1.so[41024000+16d000] Reinstall app-admin/eselect-python and run: eselect python set python2.6 (In reply to comment #2) > Reinstall app-admin/eselect-python and run: > eselect python set python2.6 Yes, that works in the shell but mod_fcgid still throws up when loading a script (hgwebdir in my case). I just repeated this - it was not just a freak accident. I guess it does not like the binary, maybe because of -fno-PIC and dynamic loading in a module? Comment #1 describe completely different bug than comment #0. The reporter: Please run: emerge --sync emerge -1 ">=app-admin/eselect-python-20090804" eselect python set python2.6 If emerging of dev-python/pycxx-6.1.0 still fails, please post the output of: readlink /usr/bin/python And attach /usr/bin/python-wrapper file with application/octet-stream MIME type. (In reply to comment #1 and comment #3) If you are able to reproduce your problem after reinstalling ">=app-admin/eselect-python-20090804", then please report a new bug. (In reply to comment #5) > The reporter: Please run: > emerge --sync > emerge -1 ">=app-admin/eselect-python-20090804" > eselect python set python2.6 > Yes, it works now - thanks! Helmut. (In reply to comment #7) > (In reply to comment #5) > > The reporter: Please run: > > emerge --sync > > emerge -1 ">=app-admin/eselect-python-20090804" > > eselect python set python2.6 > > > > Yes, it works now - thanks! OK. I'm marking this bug as FIXED. |
