Apparently IPv6 in samba is only supported through a xinetd wrapper - maybe that should be documented in metadata.xml? (In reply to comment #1) > Apparently IPv6 in samba is only supported through a xinetd wrapper - maybe > that should be documented in metadata.xml? > In that case, I'm surprised inetd or xinitd isn't a prereq for IPv4 - the docs that say you need xinitd say the same problem (a daemon that doesn't listen - wtf?) occurs on IPv4, unless I'm misreading. Sorry, this is all a bit minor, really, it's just I don't like xinitd waiting to let the hackers in when I connect to the wrong network. :-) I think this can be closed as invalid. And newer versions samba (at least >=3.4) don't use xinetd for IPv6. (In reply to comment #3) > I think this can be closed as invalid.
