Document it in the guide something like this Any hardware required to be used before system fully boots should be compiled into the kernel. So if you boot of XFS, compile it in. USB keyboard? compile it in. Otherwise it won't work as expected. We already have stuff in our handbooks that say to build absolutely required features into the kernel, not as modules, otherwise the system won't boot. Not a bug anymore. |
