Sorry about the lack of debugging symbols.
This is a known issue with +kdeprefix. We've yet to find out what's causing it, although I got a report that it's fixed on 4.1.6X. (In reply to comment #2) > This is a known issue with +kdeprefix. We've yet to find out what's causing it, > although I got a report that it's fixed on 4.1.6X. > I can confirm this issue for -kdeprefix as well. Switching to -kdeprefix has tentatively fixed this issue for me. I'll keep updating if this happens again. I still have this with KDE-4.1.2 in my box with kdeprefix, but stopped getting this on my box with -kdeprefix. I never used kdeprefix and it is nearly always crashing for me. Even when it doesn't bring up the crash, KDM never comes back up. If I logout, I have to restart kdm. Same problem here with KDE 4.1.3. Even if Nepomuk doesn't crash, I don't reach the KDM screen when I logout and have to kill the X server. Still happening with 4.1.3 and kdeprefix - haven't tested with -kdeprefix yet. It crashes for me too and I am not using +kdeprefix. It used to crash in 4.1.2 as well without kdeprefix. pizzaman ~ # eix nepomuk [I] kde-base/nepomuk Available versions: (4.1) (~)4.1.2 (~)4.1.3 {debug kdeprefix} Installed versions: 4.1.3(4.1)(10:59:47 AM 11/16/2008)(-debug -kdeprefix) Homepage: http://www.kde.org/ Description: Nepomuk KDE4 client pizzaman ~ # (In reply to comment #9) > It crashes for me too and I am not using +kdeprefix. No, here anything is running normally This is fixed as of KDE 4.2.4 |
