Description Christopher Head 2008-09-29 06:47:50 UTC
After revdep-rebuild finishes remerging broken packages, it displays this message: Build finished correctly. Removing temporary files... You can re-run revdep-rebuild to verify that all libraries and binaries are fixed. If some inconsistency remains, it can be orphaned file, deep dependency, binary package or specially evaluated library. I think "If some inconsistency remains, it can be orphaned file" could be reworded to be a little less clunky; for example, maybe "If an inconsistency remains, it might be an orphaned file" would be better. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Created attachment 173698 [details, diff] revdep-rebuild_wordchoice.patch Different approach to the unwieldy phrasing

Might I suggest "packaged installed outside of portage's control" instead of "packages install outside of portage's control"? Otherwise this looks quite nice to me.
