Looks like a bug in baselayout's /sbin/rc. In it's current form /sbin/rc also breaks service starting order for: /etc/init.d/device-mapper: before checkfs fsck /etc/init.d/hdparm: before bootmisc /etc/init.d/pciparm: before bootmisc hdparm /etc/init.d/udev: before checkfs fsck Editing the offending line in /sbin/rc from: CRITICAL_SERVICES="checkroot modules checkfs localmount clock bootmisc" to read: CRITICAL_SERVICES="checkroot modules" seems to fix the problem. Not sure why /sbin/rc would not trust the service deptree as it does get the order right. It instead starts the above services by itself before even considering other service's dep. order. Still valid with latest versions? |
