The code from gnome-pilot svn to which checks the pda.platform property
I am experiencing this problem on my system as well. I created the attached modified ebuild that applies the patch from gnome-pilot SVN already attached to this bug to solve the problem for myself. I'm going to attach it here in case anyone else finds it useful. Created attachment 161798 [details, diff]

patch has been commited, now I suppose we should fast track this to stable since hal 0.5.11 is already stable. @herds, thoughts ? I think it's ok, the patch is simple enough and makes sense. +1 for fast tracking hello arches, please proceed to the stabilization of gnome-pilot 2.0.16-r1, it fixes a bug in hal detection with hal-0.5.11 which is currently stable. Target keywords are: amd64 ppc sparc x86. TIA amd64/x86 stable sparc stable ppc, ping ? ppc stable and closing |
