*** Bug 20988 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** he has done some great work see http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-deutsch/ebuilds/media-video/vdr for ebuilds i'd like to see this in official portage tree please add an account on cvs.gentoo.org that he can(we) checkin his ebuilds don don´t want to push but if this doesn´t work out could someone please delete the really old vdr and linuxtv-dvb ebuilds in portage? Or perhaps add some new. the version (1.1.27) is about 6 month old and at the moment versions are at 1.2.5 (which is the stable tree, 1.1.x is development). same takes in account for the linuxtv-dvb drivers. 1.0.0_pre2 in portage while 1.0.0 is released since months. If you could not add new developers and you can´t cope with that many ebuilds, remove them. They are not only confusing the users using our ebuilds at www.gentoo.de, they also throws a bad light at gentoo because the software is really old and the are both development releases while stable versions are available. regards mad mad, come talk to me on irc please mad? anyone knowing if mad's still around and interested? i am!! as i said per mail some days ago: Date: Mon, 16 Feb 2004 11:39:15 +0100 From: Martin Hierling <martin.hierling@fh-luh.de> To: bugzilla-daemon@gentoo.org Cc: seemant@gentoo.org Subject: Re: [Bug 22287] New developer: Martin Hierling Reply-To: martin.hierling@fh-luh.de In-Reply-To: <E1AsDRS-0005R3-IN@falcon.gentoo.org> User-Agent: Mutt/1.3.25i so, basicly irc is not my medium so it is hard to meet me there. the only place where i can hang around in irc is @work, and there my response time is not suitable for irc. So i prefer mail for communication. waiting for your answer. mad Is there a reason you cannot IRC from home? It would be very helpful to us if it were possible for you to hop on IRC for a short period of time to get you set up; perhaps you and Deedra can schedule a time for it? ok, dont know if it works, but actually i am in #gentoo-dev and #gentoo and i am trying to stay there from 8 to 16 MET.
