The question is whether we have the rights to redistribute these files or not. Do you know the license they're released under? Here are the modem's GPL drivers: These drivers are shipped with the modem drivers' CD, and contain a driver (not really needed, because there's cxacru support into the kernel) and the firmware. http://www.forzazzurri.mine.nu/data/USBNET_E2_LINUX_110502_REL11a_E.tar.gz http://accessrunner.sourceforge.net/firmware.shtml says the firmware cannot be distributed. The link you gave doesn't even compile. If somebody makes a pair of ebuilds, one for the extraction tool, and a second RESTRICT=fetch ebuild for the actual conversion, then we can maybe work something out, but this ain't going to fly until then. |
