I want to inform you that ati-drivers-8.28.8 require xorg 7.1 Also this is the last version to support Radeon 9250 and lower. I know the opensource radeon driver works with this chipset, but until now, I didn't find a way to use tv-out in non clone mode with the opensource driver. I will have to mask xorg-server-1.2 and higher on my system. Stable on ppc Stable for HPPA. I am wondering why there are some packages on ppc which are still marked unstable, although xorg 7.2 was marked stable some months (?) ago on ppc and they are stable on x86 and amd64. The list with the proposed packages also mentions them for ppc. Is far as I can see it is: xkeyboard-config xrandr xorg-docs libXvMC libXfontcache libXevie libXres libfontenc libXinerama libxkbfile libXaw mkfontscale xkbcomp ... mips all done! ppc: can you have a look at the packages you're missing? alpha stable (In reply to comment #18) > ppc: can you have a look at the packages you're missing? > I will do that within the next few hours. I'm glad to help. I unmasked the following packages on my system. There are some left, but I can't test them since I dont have them installed. x11-apps/xrandr x11-libs/libXvMC x11-libs/libXfontcache x11-libs/libXevie x11-libs/libXres x11-libs/libfontenc x11-libs/libxkbfile x11-drivers/xf86-input-keyboard x11-drivers/xf86-input-mouse x11-apps/xprop x11-apps/xrdb app-doc/xorg-docs x11-libs/libXrender x11-libs/xtrans x11-libs/libXt x11-libs/libXpm x11-libs/libXmu x11-apps/mkfontscale x11-apps/xkbcomp x11-apps/luit x11-apps/mkfontdir x11-apps/xdpyinfo x11-libs/libXinerama x11-misc/util-macros x11-proto/randrproto x11-libs/libICE x11-libs/libXau x11-libs/libXaw x11-libs/libXdmcp x11-libs/libXext So far I did not see any issues I made the remaining packages stable on ppc. Some of the drivers were not ~ppc; I leave it so until a user requests it. sparc stable, finally, with xorg-server-1.3.0.0 goodness too. |
