Do you also have media-plugins/gst-plugins-ogg installed? He has the ogg use flag, which should pull in the ogg gstreamer plugin, assuming it's not built with xine. François, could you paste the output of: emerge -pv totem Totem plays ogg-vorbis fine here, with the gstreamer backend. Hi everybody ! media-plugins/gst-plugins-ogg is installed, herer is the output of # emerge -pv totem These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild R ] media-video/totem-2.16.4 USE="a52 dbus dvd firefox flac gnome mad mpeg nsplugin ogg theora vorbis xine xv -debug -ffmpeg -hal -lirc -nvtv" 1,778 kB Okay, that's what I thought. You have xine in your use flags, so you're using the xine bakend, not the gstreamer one. Did you build xine-lib with the vorbis use flag? Yes xine-lib is compiled with the vorbis use flag (which is in make.conf by the way). By the way I can play ogg files w/out any problem w/ gxine, so I guess the problem doesn't come from xine... i can reproduce this too i'll search on upstream bugs for this issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 161372 *** |
