Description Simon Siemonsma 2006-11-19 02:55:34 UTC
Title says it all.
With or without USE="nsplugin" klash is not compiled.
I gues it has to do with the fact that it doesn't have a kde use flag anymore (0.7.1 had)
After the compile I did find / -name klash and only found somethings in:
/var/tmp/portage/gnash-0.7.1_......
/usr/portage/distfiles/cvs-src/gnash/plugin/klash (I gues from 0.7.1_p20099999)
Comment 1 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-19 07:05:23 UTC
    # klash is broken, thus we do not offer it

Only gives black screen for me. Besides gnash works fine for kde users, too

Just a question please, even if the bug is resolved.

Why gnash-0.7.1 is out of portage?
Comment 3 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-20 12:56:44 UTC
Because it is old. Old ebuilds are removed from portage.

Normally there are still some old stable versions in Portage. However as I see it Gnash is still alpha software, this is why it is still masked. They made big progress between 0.7.1 and 0.7.2 so it makes no sense to keep the old one around.

USE=kde is back and now people moan that it's not working (Bug 155888).

You are right, but 0.7.2 is wrong for kde.
Anyway, we'll wait for a new update :) .
