The ebuild
Is that plugin necessary with the version 1.0_beta of xine-lib? I believe so, although you would use the matching version of the plugin. All the versions available are listed on the xine download page http://xinehq.de/index.php/releases it's in the bottom left of the "Download and install a frontend" section. This depends on libcdio and vcdimager as well. from August 8th on the xine page: "xine-vcdx 1-rc0 has been completely redesigned. This advanced Video CD plugin will most likely replace xine's VCD plugin soon." Sounds like it's going to be integrated into the program soon. There might not be a need to include this in portage. This should be marked as a dup of 21518 which has the following dependencies: 22437 22438 We will need the dependencies (cdio stuff) even if it does merge into mainstream xine. |
