I think the new tone of use flags just makes my make.conf big and unreadable....
Why are we need so many useflags?
I propose the cutting of the following flags that must be compiled anyway (in my opinion ofcourse) 
-addbookmarks -alias -autoreplace -connectionstatus -contactnotes -highlight -history -netmeeting -nowlistening -sametime -slp -sms -statistics -texteffect -translator -webpresence -winpopup 

I don't really understand a person who will not need any of the above if he/she uses kopete... Even then he/she can just disable the built-in plugins... there is no need to not compile them....

So don't set them in make.conf and use /etc/portage/package.use instead. Please, don't bug us about non-issues, thanks.

So, you think there is a use for these flags? 
Can you explain how they can be of any use?

How the old ebuild with the few useflags did not satisfy the needs of the users?
