I think the new tone of use flags just makes my make.conf big and unreadable.... Why are we need so many useflags? I propose the cutting of the following flags that must be compiled anyway (in my opinion ofcourse) -addbookmarks -alias -autoreplace -connectionstatus -contactnotes -highlight -history -netmeeting -nowlistening -sametime -slp -sms -statistics -texteffect -translator -webpresence -winpopup I don't really understand a person who will not need any of the above if he/she uses kopete... Even then he/she can just disable the built-in plugins... there is no need to not compile them....
So don't set them in make.conf and use /etc/portage/package.use instead. Please, don't bug us about non-issues, thanks.
So, you think there is a use for these flags? Can you explain how they can be of any use?
waiting for answer.... How the old ebuild with the few useflags did not satisfy the needs of the users?
