May be related to (or possibly a duplicate of) bug #146647 and/or bug #142650. (In reply to comment #1) > May be related to (or possibly a duplicate of) bug #146647 and/or bug #142650. > Most likely not. Meanwhile, try using your blackdown-jdk instead: java-config-1 -S blackdown-jdk-1.4.2.03 && env-update && source /etc/profile emerge ... Keep in mind that using kaffe as system VM is still considered experimental (as the postinst einfo says). But thanks for reporting. Just wanted to let you know that your suggestion does solve the problem:
>>> Original instance of package unmerged safely.
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
>>> dev-libs/cyrus-sasl-2.1.22 merged.
Feel free to resolve the bug. I didn't because I'm not sure what resolution should be will (INVALID or LATER) kaffe be supported as a system vm anytime soon?

But thanks for reporting. > But of course we still want bug reports. So please continue testing it and report any issues you have. dev-java/kaffe is package masked for removal. closing as wontfix |
