Hi all, I found a better way to handle the map file. Now we just call "updmap" after the install. This way pdftex will be able to find it, there's no need to edit the system's pdftex.cfg anymore. As for dvips it seems "updmap" works for it, too. But just in case dvips shouts out warnings I added a note that once can simply edit ~/.dvipsrc to get around it. It should be fine now.
