this looks like a problem to compile against firefox. Did you try building without firefox module ?

your cflags looks safe, can you add your version of firefox ?
did you try with latest available liferea (1.0.16) ? It's mostly bug fixes so it should work better :)

Emerged 1.0.16 ~x86. Seems to work fine.

I emerged 1.0.16 on amd64 and it seems to work fine too. It compiled ok and it didn't crash until now, whereas 0.9.6 used to crash often on my box.
