kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.3-r3 fails to configure for me because it is insisting on autoconf 2.53 or higher. I have 2.60 but it seems to think that is not higher:

this patch resolv only kde merging, not the other!
It's not better to patch autotconf directly?

Patch it with what? The KDE problem (btw now fixed upstream) is due to short foresee of the future versions.

The rest of problems are caused by autoconf being more strict than before.
