Solution to this would be to add two directories: mkdir /usr/lib/xmms/Effect /usr/lib/xmms/Plugins Therefore I would propose that something like: mkdir ${D}/usr/lib/xmms/Effect ${D}/usr/lib/xmms/Plugins Should be added into the xmms ebuild? no... that directories should be created by xmms and not by eq-xmms. Btw... your CFLAGS are wrong... you should replace them by a new ones (more simple).
