Hi,

Here is an ebuild for dolibarr, a php application :

Requirements to install with unicode useflag : rconv : see bug #128551

Warning : the SRC_URI in the ebuild is not the real source URI : look at the

I made a lot of tests, only with this configuration :
 - utf-8 system
 - dev-lang/php 5.1.2
 - apache 2.0.55-r1 is set with AddDefaultCharset UTF-8
 - mysql 4.1.14 is build with utf8 useflag

Patchset I made, to simplify installation, and for compatibility with an utf-8 system :

NOTES :
The application is originally in french, but is not fully translated in en_US
(look at the langs/ directory) : lot of strings are still in french into the code.
If web pages are in utf-8, generated documents (PDF) are still in iso-8859-15 : the
fpdf php class doesn't support utf-8 (see http://www.fpdf.org/).

 - drop rconv dependency

Seems to be moved to http://www.dolibarr.org/en/index.php. Couple more notes:

- Please, try to get the patches merged upstream, we really don't want to maintain them. 
- Also, a *working* SRC_URI is really essential, I really don't care that upstream doesn't like wget. I don't like stupid RESTRICT=fetch for GPLed stuff just because upstream thought everyone should download this manually.

Marking this LATER meanwhile, thanks. Feel free to reopen once the above has been solved.

A new release is available:

It would be nice to have the ebuild updated.
