splash screen for GRUB
Simply place this file in /boot/grub and modify your /boot/grub/menu.lst to
point to it.
(don't forget to mount /boot first)
Grub hates my VIA chipsets... no way of testing... Punting I tested that image, it works... However the background is dark what makes it somewhat hard to see "cursor" position (visible as a black line). Somewhat because central area is bright, so cursor position can be visible or at least inferred. In short, I think this may be worthy adding as an alternative grub splash image to give user some choice. It might also be usefull to tune background color. George i think this would be more suited for a theme website, or maybe you'd like to put together an ebuild of grub splash images or something ... either way, closing bug ... actually, I'm hoping this will get placed into portage at some point. TaD has some great screens that really should go into a themese kinda ebuild. it's on my todo list :) Tad, I leave this to your good offices to decide what to do with ;-) All these bugs should be fixed in gentoo-artwork-0.3 Committed to cvs. 0.3 also contains extra images c/- breakmygentoo.net |
