Epson provides GPL'd printer drivers for almost all of their new products 
under: http://www.avasys.jp/english/linux_e/index.html 
 
An ebuild would be great (unifying all drivers in one package for CUPS and 
LPR)

Since I tested the driver and concluded that it's quality is disappointing I 
have decided not to write an ebuild for it. I suggest turboprint as a 
replacement. It works like a charm (although I discourage the need to install 
separate drivers on each client for printing, but due to the special features 
of some printers like borderless photo printing this is obviously inevitable).
