Description Ricky Campbell 2005-08-09 22:08:38 UTC
This is really a feature request for those like me using laptops with wireless
ethernet cards that are unsupported in linux. We need ndiswrapper running on a
booted live cd environment in order to enable the use of windows drivers for our
hardware, and properly install gentoo. This bug refers to having ndiswrapper
running in the livecd environment itself, without having to emerge anything.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot gentoo live cd
2.try to run "ndiswrapper -i xxx.inf" at prompt, but ndiswrapper package is not
found
3.

Actual Results:
os reported that ndiswrapper was not a valid command

Expected Results:
should have allowed me to utilize windows drivers for my wireless ethernet card
in the livecd environment in order to install gentoo.
