Maybe this bug is caused by https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216382 While waiting for a solution, here is a workaround: 1. Read the the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS from http://dictionaries.mozdev.org/installation.html 2. chown $username /usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/components/myspell 3. Continue from step 2 of bug description 4. chown -R root /usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/components/myspell The steps in comment #4 indeed fix the problem. *** Bug 125931 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Not a Gentoo problem. *** Bug 131417 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Emerging mozilla-thunderbird erases any extra dictionaries copied to "/usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/components/myspell". Is that a Gentoo bug? Comment #4 doesn't help in mozilla-thunderbird-2.0_alpha1-r1 |
