Description Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-21 13:33:13 UTC
Basically if you have USE=-java, but javaldx is still present, it talkes ages
stil l to start up. Suggesting adding:

  use java || rm -f ${D}/opt/OpenOffice.org/program/javaldx

in src_install().
Comment 1 LuisMi Garcia 2005-07-22 15:23:50 UTC
I emerge it with java use flag, but I don't know... it lasts for almost 1
minute before starting.

Deleting that file "solves" the problem. Don't even know what is that file used
for.
Comment 2 LuisMi Garcia 2005-08-04 02:57:50 UTC
openoffice-bin-1.9.122 suffers of the same bug...

oowriter2 doesn't start but it starts if you delete that file.

Don't know why...

I'm at amd64.

Pau, this is not a bug about updating the ebuild =)
Comment 6 LuisMi Garcia 2005-09-09 16:41:56 UTC
in fact, I have just updated to 1.9.128 and the problem is still there.

Just deleted the file and now it works very fast.

I've added the fix for this to the ebuild now, thanks for reporting
