sys-apps/mondo-0.9
A System Health Monitor

I'm submitting this on behalf of Michael v.Ostheim, the creator of Mondo. He has been
maintaining an updated version of the ebuild by himself, and I thought it was about
time it got stuck in the portage tree. I cleaned up his ebuild and I'm attaching it. Also, I
put his e-mail on the CC list. I hope you don't mind, Michael.

Brandon, we're eventually going to make this depend on "virtual/sensors-modules",
but for now I left it as an lm_sensors dependency.

Great, I'll get this into the unstable profile right away, and start looking
into what all ebuilds I'm going to have to update when we do the official
lm_sensors split.
Comment 3 Brandon Low (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-10-30 14:51:37 UTC
Ok, done and in the unstable profile... Modified the ebuild slightly.
Comment 4 Michael v.Ostheim 2002-10-30 15:54:34 UTC
I'm not the creator of mondo. I'm the inofficial maintainer of new mondo
version ebuilds :-).

My question is, when an application is included into the official portage tree,
is there an official maintainer watching the progress of this app and
maintaining the official port? For many other applications, I see a lot of
different people in the ChangeLog. So, who is responsable for this app?

I added the email adress of the author of mondo to the CC list.

Sorry, does not work, he's not registered. It's kelledin@users.sourceforge.net
Comment 6 Brandon Low (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-10-30 16:03:35 UTC
We don't really have official maintainers for packages assigned... there just
aren't enough of us to do that for all packages... We count on users to notify
us of package updates of packages that we don't use. Most of the devs watch
some packages of their own volition because they are things that they use and
such... but many packages we wait till someone pokes us. Hopefully this will
change as we grow and have more devs around to watch the e-mail lists of more
packages.
